The charger features optimal charging technology that uses 3 Active Controls (thermal, voltage, and current) to maximize the effectiveness of the charge and extend the battery’s life. It also recognizes battery history and analyzes battery condition to determine the optimal charging method. A built-in fan cools the battery during charging to maximize its lifespan.
The charging process is simple and easy to follow. A red light indicates that the battery is below 80% charged, a red and green light indicates that the battery is between 80% and 100% charged, and a green light indicates that the battery is fully charged.
The charger is compatible with all Makita 18V Li-Ion batteries, including the BL1830B, BL1840B, BL1850B, and BL1860B. It is also a great option for tradesmen, campers, and other professionals who need to be able to charge their batteries on the go
Charging process:
- Below 80%, red light turns on.
- The power is charged above 80% but below 100%, both the Red and Green LED lights turn on.
- When charged fully, the green light is only on.
